The Beat Surrender

Leeds band Four Day Hombre look like finally living up to the early promise they showed in 2003 as they put the finishing touches to what should be a fantastic debut album.

One of the first fruits of these sessions is the new single 1000 bulbs. Released on their own Alamo Music label following funding and label problems over the last twelve months it’s a shimmering glimpse of what Radiohead would probably sound like now if they got their heads from up their arses long enough to write a song with a tune.

It’s all built around moody guitar and the brilliant vocals of Simon Wainwright, a definite star in the making if the band can transfer across to a wider audience. Live gigs have hinted that they can and this single should see them moving in the right direction.

The single is released on the 7th November, it will be available nationally as CD with b-side Drink and on limited edition vinyl with the b-side Jedi Blues. These tracks will also be available as a digital downloads. The album follows early next year.
