The Long Weekend - 20 Minutes, 13 Stops

There is something instantly likeable in what The Long Weekend have done with 20 Minutes, 13 Stops, it’s a melodic, enthusiastic ride through all that is good about lads indie music, good tunes, a swagger and a sense of confidence in what they are doing.

The tracks flow effortlessly, Record sounds a bit like The Rifles but is even more upbeat than even they reach, in other places you’d probably liken them to a band like The Courteeners, or if you want someone lesser known thats alsop worth checking out then try The Tunics.

Very good stuff, an enjoyable album and if they keep this sort of form up a very bright future beckons for this outfit.
