Concrete Bullet - 3 Track Demo

This four piece band from Leeds have really sparked my interest with their 3 track demo. Listening to it reminds me of No Doubt’s early work. I was in a band when I was 14 and this is the sound I really wanted my band to have. Alas, we split up when GCSE revision started to take up most of my time!

The first track ‘No Way’ has a dirty guitar underline with very stong, spunky vocal from Sarah. It has a foot tapping, fast beat and if it was on in a night club, I’d be dancing. The second track ‘Keep Me’ is a loved up punk-pop track. It is very up beat and feel good. The guitar solos work well with the song. The third and final song ‘Forever’ is a view into the softer side of the band. Its very ballad in style, with Sarah’s vocals striking through the soft music. This song is very different from the other two tracks, but I like it equally.

They have no record label at this time, but I think any label would be lucky to have them. There are not many female voices out there that can actually pull off rock, Sarah does it well and the songs are obviously well written for her voice. Look out for them in the future, I will be.
