The Tides - 3 Track Promo
The Tides have already made a decent sized imprint in the notoriously fickle Manchester music scene with a string of live dates supporting the other acts from the City such as The Fall, Tom Hingley and Puressence.
It’s no coincidence that I list Puressence last as it leads me nicely onto the bands sound. Gushing, amthemic indie pop that soars the heights at all the right times, with a vocalist (Liam Pennington) who reminds me so much of the Puressence lead singer its untrue.
The highlight of the three tracks on offer here is Lights, but that said the other two tracks One Amongst Equals and You’ll Never Change are very promising tracks that suggest this could be a band that adds to the Manchester legacy if luck goes their way.
