The Beat Surrender

We were laughing the other day between us when we heard that Peter Andre (former pop star) and his wife Katie Price (almost porn star, inflatable bouyancy boobs come as standard, supposed author) had joined up to release a single, i’ve heard somewhere that it’s a charity thing though so I didn’t think too much of it.

Then today the album drops on my doormat and i’m left gobsmacked…yes that’s an album, full of songs, featuring them both singing.

As things go it’s not as bad as it could have been. They’ve had three new songs written for them which are bland and forgetable rather than disastrous, her voice is actually pretty passable on most of the cover versions and she’s only really let down by him.

The two shining moments for them (if you can really call them that) are the ballad a Whole New World and the more upbeat The Best Things In Life Are Free. So not as awful as I wanted it to be, but then you see the sickly pictures of them together and that just about does it.

It’s coming up to Christmas and will probably sell by the bucket load. Out next week folks.
