Michael Franti And Spearhead - All Rebel Rockers
I’ve never been a huge fan of Michael Franti and his band Spearhead, that isn’t to say I don’t rate them it’s just there is only so much music you can listen to in a lifetime (and I don’t think I do too bad to be honest) and he’s never really been on my radar.
Maybe I’ve missed out on a treat, maybe I haven’t, either way though I’ve enjoyed listening to his latest long player All Rebel Rockers. Recorded in Kingston it takes on a really good hybrid of soul and rock style dub, the lyrics are politically charged and pull few punches making it not just easy on the ear but also giving you something to think about as well.
