Tulipomania - Anamorphic
From what I can gather…and that isn’t a lot on this release, Tulipomania are onto the second album with Anamorphic having released a self titled album previously.
Maybe it’s because i’m in a bad mood because I got woke up pretty early today so didn’t get chance to sleep off my hangover, but by god this album has just bored the absolute pants off of me. It just lacks anything to bring me back to it, so much so that I can’t face giving it a second listen, something I try and afford all music I get sent to at least be fair.
I feel bad about saying this as a lot of effort has probably gone into it and maybe a lot of talent too, it just doesn’t show. My biggest problem with Tulipomania is that the singer sounds sozzled. Either that or it’s his singing style, either way it makes the lyrics indecipherable throughout.
To reach a second album they must have fans out their so this could be just down to my taste, but this isn’t a record i’d recommend to anybody and I know some peope with pretty weird taste!
