Coco Electrik - Army Behind The Sun
Coco Electrik first came to my attention with the release of a cover of Tainted Love, as the reviewer said at the time it wasn’t the most impressive version you’ll ever hear. Still I was interested to hear Army Behind The Sun as Coco Eltrik seem to be getting mentioned in the right circles.
It is though a bit of a disappointing affair, too many of the tracks come off as sub standard Goldfrapp and I aren’t talking Goldfrapp that delivered the exceptional Felt Mountain, i’m talking new dirty electronica Goldfrapp. For a start as sexy as the singer is, she doesn’t deliver vocals with any passion, it all sounds a little bit too clinical for me and lacking emotion.
