Royksopp - Back To Mine
Back To Mine has long held the throne as the king of after hours vibe compilations and Royksopp have been firm favourites of mine since their excellent debut album Melody A.M.
No strangers to the odd blissed out track themselves I thought I would have enjoyed this compilation far more than any of the others, as it is it’s still a very good effort it just seems to have gone down the route of the current fashion of being fixated with the 80’s and anything that has that sort of sound connected to it.
I would have expected a bit more variety from the duo, as it is the tracks are all good, just a little bit similar. My favourites on here though are probably Kasso with One More Round, Harry Thumann with the excellent Sphinx and Klein & MBO with the excellent Dirty Talk.
The compilation is out now through DMC with further cxompilations from Hard-Fi, The Guillemots and Bugz In The Attic to follow.
