Rachel Scott - Blow
Rachel Scott is now onto her second album with Blow and both are available to buy through iTunes. While I haven’t heard her first album, her second album sounds a bit like a debut to me, some really nice moments that is ultimately let down by a couple of things that with the right producer or record label behind her would probably get ironed out.
The first thing is that the album is simply over burdened with songs, eigghteen in total and for me she could have cut six tracks. While value for money is always honourable, quality over quantity is the golden rule for me in music. The second one is that a couyple of the tracks are just plain awful and don’t do her vocals any favours, whichis a shame as in the main she’s got a pretty good voice.
Wish You Were Mine and Don’t Dream Away are the two offending items, one look at the titles of those songs is enough to make me cringe. For the most part though she delivers a decent variety of pop sog with an alright voice, do I think she’ll make it big..no not a chance, but she could forge a career of some kind out of music based on this.

Have your say...

I Love Dont Dream Away - Why should a title make you cringe? There are always tracks people dont like on any album - no excuse to put it down
