The Harrisons - Blue Note

Never have I been prouder to be from Yorkshire than at the moment, every week there seems to be a new band bursting onto the scene with a new single or a support slot on a tour, or in the case of Harrisons...both.

I got top see them live recently supporting Be Your Own Pet and although the live show needs a bit of work you couldn’t help but feel they are a band that could potentially go somewhere.

On the back of that tour comes the new single Blue Note. it follows the success of debut single Wishing Well and has a real nostalgic feel to the lyrics. Musically its a mixture of blues rock and late seventies punks just starting to find Ska, classic sounds given a modern twist when thrown into a melting pot together.

Shirleys Temple the b-side is equally as good and could easily have been given double a-side status, lets just hope they can kick on from this, hone the live performance and edge that White Rose flag a little bit higher.
