Craig Johnston - Burning Time EP
I had three thoughts running through my head as I picked up the huge press pack that comes with this release. The first one was, oh god not another singer/songwriter, the second was wow very professional and posh PR pack and the final one was I wonder if he has a big curly perm like the former Liverpool player from the 80’s (was he Johnson or Johnston I can’t remember)!
The professionalism is carried over into the music, it’s all exquisitely done on the Burning Time EP and in some ways it reminds me of Paolo Nutini, not sure if that’s the Scottish influence or not. Either way the blend of vocals, piano and Cello give this four tracker a head start over most singer songwriters.
The EP is due for release this month.
