Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Catch You
After three years out of the music industry Sophie Ellis Bextor returns from maternity leave with the type of dance pop track that should ensure she has a smash hit single on her hands.
Catch You for me though is amongst her weakest work yet and while i’ve never been a big fan of her solo work (I liked The Audience though!) she has done far better than this in the past. The chorus sounds too forced and the rest of the track is her most insipid vocal performance to date. Which is a shame because everybody likes a bit of posh glamour and she can provide that in spades.
The single is out now and is taken from her forthcoming third album Trip The Light Fantastic.
