State Radio - C.I.A. EP
I don’t know anything about State Radio despite the fact that this isn’t their first release. In fact the tracks are all taken from their new album Year Of The Crow, which isn’t even their first album from what I can gather!
What I do know though is that they seem to dance a fine line between sort of rock and reggae almost, in doing that they do at times come over as a slightly poor mans Red Hot Chili Peppers.
C.I.A. and Guantanamo give you a flavour of where they are at politically, but the more interesting of the two tracks on offer here are Wicker Plane and the energetic Gang Of Thieves, both of which I really liked.
