Brigade - Come Morning We Fight (Sampler)
Looking at this 5 track album sampler (they must not have trusted me with the full album) for the just released album Come Morning We Fight, I’m ready for some proper big hair rock, which while not my thing would make a massive change from the emo cr*p I get sent so often.
Unfortunately by the time I’ve got through Pilot and What Are You Waiting For it’s become apparent that Brigade are some sort of strange hybrid of the two. At times the guitars really have that aggressive, cutting sound that only rock bands can produce, the lead singer though sounds like he’s scared by these guitars and kind of whimpers his vocals in comparison.
They’ve just been on tour with Fightstar and listening to this I can now see why.
