Freeland - Cope

After the brilliant single Under Control (still sounds awesome on the album by the way), I possibly set my expectations for the album a little too high. I’d kind of expected more of the same from Adam Freeland and the guys, not so much in sound but certainly in quality.

In fairness to them they haven’t made a bad stab at it, part of the problem is that at an hour in length and with a few less than spectacular tracks your interest does wane a little. However when they get it right, they really do it in some style.

The afore mentioned single is one of those tracks, Mancry pushes it close though with an epic drum section that gives the track a massive personality and on the opposite end of the spectrum Silent Speaking has some really beautiful harmony in it.

So a decent effort but I can’t help but feel that it could have been so much better.
