The Mighty Roars - Daddy Oh
The Mighty Roars are an international mix of individuals that somehow ended up together in Berlin (one girl from Sweden and two English gentlemen), they decided that they would head to London and try to take the music scene by storm over here.
Listening to Daddy Oh and especially Kiss It, it’s very hard not to get swept along by the energy and excitement that they put into every song, Lara Granqvist screams and spits her lyrics as if her life depends on it, with the guitar and drums played as if they had a slave master whipping them in the background.
Not sure if it’ll be enough for them to cross this over into mainstream success but as things go it’s an enjoyable third outing from the trio (out now on One Little Indian).
