InMe - Daydream Anonymous

InMe are a band that have been around for roughly ten years now and it’s fair to say that you don’t usually get to stick around that long if you don’t have something going for you. I’m guessing that something was being at the forefront of the Emo invasion when it happened in the UK.

Since then they’ve released a stream of albums, have amicably split with original member Joe Morgan (bass player) and replaced him with his younger brother (out with the old in with the new?).

They’ve come out of the studio in Sweden following sessions with Jens Bogren, the fruits of those labours can now be found on Daydream Anonymous. The choice of title may be something of an accident but Anonymous is a fairly good description of what you can get from the three-piece. It’s bog standard rock fare that doesn’t sound in hte least bit different to twenty other bands i’ve heard in the last few months (some of which are signed some of which are still playing their local if they are lucky.

Maybe i’m just missing what it is that makes them so durable…the album is out now.

It could all be so simple, but you'd rather make it hard, loving you is like a battle and we both end up with scars. -- Lauryn Hill
