White Lies - Death
White Lies have had a storming start to 2008, they released their debut 7” single through their own Chess Club Recordings inprint in April, they have played some of the Worlds biggest and best festivals including T In The Park, Fuji Rock and Lollapalooza and cap that by releasing a new single and blagging the tour support with Glasvegas.
Their debut album is out in early 2009 but for now you’ll have to make do with this brilliant single to keep you going. I first heard Death on the radio a couple of months back, at the time it didn’t grab me that much, but it clearly sealed itself away in my head ready to resurface.
Two plays of it this Afternoon and I now can’t get enough of it, fantastic guitar, great vocals and despite a slight 80’s influence in their, somehow it still sounds like one of the coolest tracks of this year.
