Mach Schau - Demonstration One
Up until now the only things musically I couldthink of to come out of Southampton were Craig David and Artful Dodger, hardly set the pulse racing do they?
Mach Schau (named after Hamburg era Beatles) certainly do set the pulse racing though as they explode onto your stereo with the visceral angry burst of noise that Feel This Way. It’s a raging, raw punk song and when I say punk I don’t mean plastic punks in a Green Day way I mean proper late 70’s style punk. The tune has more than a passing resemblance to The Buzzcocks What Do I Get, it’s got that same urgency to it.
The two other tracks on here are also noteworthy, Shoot The Blues is a more bluesy number, showing a different side to the band, let’s be honest nobody likes a one trick pony do they? She Said is back to the pure punk style of the first track and rocks it big style.
For once tracks that you’ll be happy to get a reeeeewind on!
