Earth Leakage Trip - Development

Earth Leakage Trip are a band that I had only heard of thanks to Orbitals Back To Mine collection which featured a track of theirs called No Idea. I liked it at the time but as is the way with these things the name went to the back of my mind and was forgotten about until now.

A week or two ago two albums dropped through my letterbox, both by the curiously named Earth Leakage Trip and both released in 2006 from what I can tell. First on my stereo was Development, it opens with a film score style track called Enchanter before Moonset kicks in with it’s slinky groove.

My favourite track on here is probably the upbeat jazz-funk of City Slicker. The albums can be purchased from the bands website or can be downloaded via iTunes. Well worth checking out folks.
