Don Cash - Disco Wreck

Don Cash is a Canadian who has been writing/producing and releasing tracks via his own Toronto based Stereo Eagle Label, however this effort is released via Relish.

A complicated mix of punk/funk, electro/rap and rock. The beat pulsates incessantly throughout the track which could make it a hit with the clubs, but annoying if played at high volume in the car stereo. However the track grew and grew on me, I ended up really liking this. Three b-sides are a remix of Disco Wreck by Headman (owner of Relish Records) which wasn’t a million miles away from the original plus Hey There, which again had the pulsating bass beat but again this grew on me, the more I listened the more I liked it, this time the vocals were smoother.

Don’t Crash (dirty remix) much more of a dance track, very computer adjusted, added synths, etc. Didn’t really like this so much but take the time to go to his myspace site to listen to the original which was much better, the original was previously released as a single.

Don Cash has a unique style in the electro pop world which to my surprise I liked and can see this being a hit
