James Severy - Do The Circus Circus And Other Songs
The male singer-songwriting field has been a fairly dull genre for the last few years, that was until last year when the likes of Jamie T and Paul Steel came bounding out of the shadows declaring war on James Blunt and David Gray.
To that list you might now be able to add James Severy who this week released a very limited 7” single through Art Goes Pop which looks set to further shake things up.
The tracks Do The Circus Circus, Somewhere and Death Of A Bus Driver are a dizzying mix of Jamie T style London vocals toned down a notch, over melodic electronic acoustica (that’s a new one you can have!) and it works an absolute treat.
