Pussycat Dolls - Don’t Cha
I realise that this is being wise after the event (they have just hit number 1 in the UK charts) but the Pussycat Dolls are gonna be massive. You aren’t going to be able to get away from them for the next couple of years, pictures on the front of every magazine you pick up, singles topping the charts and provocative videos on heavy rotation.
I for one though am delighted.
Yeah I know take six sexy girls and put them in a group together and i’m bound to be a fan, but they do have a little bit more going for them than that. For a start they perform live, which pushes them a little bit further up the pop ladder than most, the main thing though is the production used. Cee-Lo from Goodie Mob has produced Don’t Cha and given it a real edge, to go with the infectious hook and saucy vibe.
Busta Rhymes pops up on the track as well, but this is very definitely not about him, this sassy number had my head nodding to the groove as well as the lyrics.
Resistance is futile, just enjoy them while you can.
