Big Life Desire - Dribs And Drabs

I really liked the first Big Life Desire album and I have a great deal of respect for Keith Harbottle who once again plays everything on the second album, with the exception of percussion, it’s just i’m not a huge fan of Dribs And Drabs.

Lyrically things are just as good and maybe even to a degree musically things are still good, it’s just his vocal has never been the strongest and with this laidback, lighter sound it leaves it woefully exposed for me. Some people can get away with twee and light, some people can’t, he did on the first album but it hasn’t worked half as well second time round.

Not to be written off just yet mind, just a little disappointing after the debut.
