Style Of Eye - Duck Cover And Hold
Style Of Eye is Linus Eklow, a man who has previously remixed for Moby and has released on labels such as Dirtybird, Classic Recordings, Tiny Sticks and Rabid Records. He now takes that previous experience and puts it into his debut album Duck Cover & Hold.
It starts off really promising with the brilliant title track that also features Emma Henley, third track in Girls is another notable high and The Prophet also stands out. Unfortunately these tracks are standing out from some pretty uninspiring techno that surround them, not disastrous tracks, more ineffectual.
Luckily though just as i’m about to start losing faith it picks up again with Galore and finishes with three further belters in the form of Horse, Banned and The Last Song. It could though have been so much better if it had not had the inconsistency throughout it.
