Editors - Blood

Most of the reviews i’ve read about Editors tend to pick up on the supposed Joy Division and Interpol influences from this UK four piece, personally speaking the influence for me on Blood seems to come from Echo and the Bunnymen rather than the afore mentioned bands.

As with previous singles Bullets and Munich, Blood has a very definite eighties post punk feel to it, moody guitar lines and dark vocals. The b-side is very much of a more modern influence, Editors have stated before that bands like Elbow and Doves have influenced them and that’s pretty clear from Forest Fire.

The album The Back Room is released on the 25th July and features all three singles.
