Henry Smithson is a guy who seems to like going under any sort of name but his own. Most people will know him under his Riton guise, i’ve certainly heard a large number of remixes from him, but now he’s here with a different project and of course…a different name!
Eine Kleine Nacht Musik is the name he’s going under this time and also the name of the album, translated it means A Little Night Music and is influenced by both krautrock and the electronic brilliance of Kratfwerk. The album though isn’t just a journey back to periods in German music, it also has a healthy dose of modern dance music to it, particularly in the beats.
That is what makes this album such a success, it blends all those elements together seamlessly and takes you on a beautiful journey, imagine driving on the autobahn, late at night with no other cars and this playing perfectly in the background.
