Rosabella Gregory - Everything Comes Together

When I reviewed Rosabella Gregory’s six track EP recently I said that she was part Alicia Keyes part Kate Bush and while my opinion hasn’t changed listening to her debut album, i’d also throw in a bit of Tori Amos Kookiness as well to the mix.

The masin reason for this of course is that Gregory’s main weapon of choice as far as instrumentation goes on Everything Comes Together is her piano. She’s at her strongest on the album when it’s left to just her voice and the piano to battle it out for supremacy.

Some of the tracks feeel a little overblown when strings and brass are added into the mix, she already has the perfect ingredients, she doesn’t need to complicate and clutter her songs. Despite this minor gripe though it’s a decent enough album, if not one that will knock your socks off.
