Coldcut - Everything Is Under Control
Everything Is Under Control is a massive return to form from Coldcut. It’s rumbling bass similar to that of Diesel Power by The Prodigy, drawled vocals are chopped and cut over the guitars before Mike Ladd lets loose a vitriolic attack on everything from Vatican Tax to Pentagon Pacts….the conspiracy theorists will love it.
The mixes available are equally impressive with Trevor Jackson ( under his Underdog moniker) providing the best of a very good bunch. He strips back everything to give a barren twist to the original. DJ Kentaro rocks things up a little bit, while The Qemist’s mix is nearer to drum and bass as you would expect.
Everything Is Under Control will feature on the new album which will be released in January 2006, Sound Mirrors will be launched with a night at Cargo on the 19th January (click on the link to buy tickets).
