Dvd’s are quite tricky to review compared to albums or singles for a number of reasons. The first being that you can’t do it while doing something else (travelling, on your lunch break, writing a letter etc) so you really have to put some time aside to do it. The second is that unless you are really in to the band you are unlikely to take a chance on a dvd as you might a cd.

I’m glad though that I put aside the time to watch Fat Freddy’s Drop dvd Fantastic Voyage Vol 1. at nearly two hours in length it offers great value, you get live footage taken from their action packed tour in 2006, it captures the atmosphere not just of the gigs themselves bit of what it’s like to be on tour. Add to that three very good music videos and some other hidden stuff, all beautifully packaged…a must for fans.
