Big Arm - Flashbacks
Former Happy Mondays star Paul Ryder looks set to compete with his brother on the indie dancefloors of clubs up and down the country over the next few months as he proves where the happy Mondays got their bass heavy funk from in their hey day with this track.
Flashback does exactly what it says on the tin, it takes you back the halycon days of early 90’s Manchester with a little bit of a Northern Soul stomp thrown in for good measure, while Ryders vocals are fairly non descript the tune is memorable enough and the horn section is fantastic.
A promising start from his new band lets just hope it continues. The single is out now through Matchbox Records.
