Pepe Deluxe - Forgotten Knights EP

Pepe Deluxe haven’t quite managed to follow up Beatitude for me, Spare Time Machine certainly had it’s moments but overall it lacked the quality of it’s predecessor.

Forgotten Knights Is a strange little EP to release, the title track that opens things sounds like a slightly psychedelic Lenny Kravitz, Lucky The Blind vs Vacuum Cleaning Monster is a sprawling prog rock track with beats, both of these opening two tracks are radio edits of tracks that are on the album.

The Mischief Of Cloud Six and Et Tu Brute? Are the final two that make up the EP, the former of those has been a previous single and is still a really nice slice of 60’s Hammond Organ inspired soul-psychedelic-funk, like the latter track it’s a session track version here and while both are good it’s hardly new material unless you are a die hard collector.
