The Beat Surrender

My respect for t.A.T.u went up slightly after the whole Eurovision thing where they were getting booed by everybody. A twinge of human kindness in me weakened for a second and I actually felt sorry for these girls.

Then reality kicked in and I got the second single from their recent Dangerous And Moving album sent to me. The first song off the album was pretty bad, but with Dave Stewart having a hand in writing this and dullard Sting playing bass you hoped it might edge towards a slightly better pop track.

Unfortunately it doesn’t and it isn’t, it’s tuneless and lacks anything to recommend in it….nope wait a minute I take that back, i’m about to give credit to somebody i’ve never considered before.

Yes step up to the plate Mr Bryan Adams. Of all the musicians involved in this (and yes i’m classing the girls in that too) the only one who comes out with any credit from this is the grisly Canadian who shot the picture for the sleeve. Yes its contrived and its obvious but its also two young lesbians tied up and that’ll do for me!
