Crookers feat MC Leka + MC Dandao - Funk Mundial #3 - Para De Gracinha
Man Recordings return with the third in the series of Funk Mundial releases, Crookers take it on this time and team up with two Rio funk MCs to get that authentic South American flava (how street am I?!) across the fairly limited 12” single.
The first thing that has to be said is that Crookers may look like bad boys, may try to play up that image, but in reality they seem like pussycats. Musically this sounds so dated it’s untrue, it’s the type of stuff that would have been dismissed as not even a b-side by Mark B & Blade about six or seven years ago.
The MCs aren’t hideous but they are incredibly rough around the edges, MC Leka on Para De Gracinha and MC Dandao on Soca Ali Baba. They may have had hits in their native country but this won’t be following suit.
