Caeser Pink And The imperial Orgy - Gospel Hymns For Agnostics And Atheists
Caeser Pink And The Imperial Orgy are no strangers to controversy, they’ve had their record blacklisted by an influential radio executive in America due to the nature of the title and have had live shows cancelled due to threats from religious terrorist organisations.
All that though is something we aren’t going to concern ourselves with here as it all comes to down to the music itself with us, The Beat Surrender has not yet developed it’s full cult brainwashing department so you can all rest safe!
Putting aside the above and listening to the four tracks on offer, i’m actually quietly delighted with the substance to the songs. The Amazing Tenacity Of Job & His Brethren is a bluesy-rock track and Happy Ending sounds like Belle And Sebastian if they were hillbillies! In Praise Of Shadows and So It Is are both decent enough efforts as well, so all in all a promising EP that has no lyrical content to worry anyone, but has enough quality to make it worth checking out.
