Mark Owen - Hail Mary
Well would you ‘adam and eve it’ those Take That boys have only gone and reformed haven’t they (minus the one that’s actually having a successful solo career funny enough) and lo and behold if Mark Owen doesn’t suddenly release a solo single from last years underwhelming (sales wise, I don’t own the album to know if it’s any good!) album How The Mighty Fall.
Well it was an apt title for his album at least, he was quite definitely the ladies favourite in Take That and listening to Hail Mary I can’t help but think he should have carried on taking his shirt off to please them rather than actually trying to be a credible solo artist.
This sounds like an even worse James Blunt, but with out the tune to get the older ladies in a flap as Beautiful did. His voice sounds too weak to carry it as an anthem, in fact he actually sounds to me like he’s laughing while trying to sing.
If anybody is a fan, I don’t apologise for what i’ve said, but I will tell you that the single is out on the 9th January….because i’m good like that.

Have your say...

Mark was going to release this with or without Take That actually but hey I like it anyway. The B side is even better The Greatest Love Song - and no it ain’t a slushfest either. It’s way cooler than Hail Mary.
