Sometimes when you’ve not had the best of weekends (shocking defeat from Leeds on Saturday compounded by my Sunday team dominating for 90 minutes and still getting beat) it’s left to music to put a smile on your face.

So step forward the funkadelic, yet strangely named Ch3vy who follow up the beautifully titled Fur Coat No Knickers that I told you about back in January (It’s on the old site but we will get our archive transferred across one of these days).

Hard Massage is a mix of live instrumentation and beautifully programmed cinematic melody, all tied up in a funky bassline that see’s people like me trying to throw shapes and bust moves that i’m just not capable of doing. On the flipside of this you get treated to a Boca 45 remix of Praize The Nord, Boca fit in perfectly with the vibe of the A-side and delivering a simpering hip hop beat onto a track rich in melody.
