Metronomy - Heartbreaker

The output from Metronomy has been a bit hit and miss with my musical tastebuds so far, while i’ve liked a couple of singles, I really didn’t care much for Holiday. So this single was a big single for me, coming just the week before the album Nights Out drops.

Pleasingly it doesn’t just meet my exacting expectations it positively destroys them, Heartbreaker is the finest moment from Metronomy so far, mixing an electronic feel to indie, it is laced with a devious pop twist that gets the song inside your mind like a mantra, brilliant stuff.
