Amp Fiddler - Hey Joe
The previous track I listened to in the Audi TT Remastered series was a breathtaking version of New Orders Blue Monday, taking it out of the clubs and into the coctail lounges. Unfortunately the extremely talented Amp Fiddler (who’s two albums i’ve got a lot of time for) has opted to stick as faithfully to the original as possible.
The guitars are good the vocals are good but it all just seems a little pointless when you are covering a classic, a little bravery goes a long way sometimes and at least stops you wasting three minutes of everyones time because you aren’t going to better Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix.
