The Beautiful New Born Children - Hey People!
Some people really do try the hardest they can to stay out of the limelight don’t they?
The Beautiful New Born Children are one such group of people. They sent a CD-R round various record companies…get this….but didn’t actually put any contact info on it. This of course got the labels in something of a frenzy trying to track down the people responsible for the music hitting their stereos.
Well Domino Records (yep still one of the hippest going) managed to find them and coerce them onto their roster and into a studio. The end result is this nine track long player (ahem).
Not ones to hang around (all but two of the songs are under two minutes in length) the album runs to a massive twenty three minutes! Taking into account the epic six minutes of feedback and clattering that closes the album it really only leaves you with eight songs weighing in at around seventeen minutes.
Luckily then that in that time they have enough in their locker to warrant it being worth a purchase, i’d imagine with frenzied songs like Papermill and Hectic Control that this would be a band to see live, albeit briefly!
The album Hey People! is out now on CD and Vinyl.
