New Model Army - High
New Model Army are one of the few bands that are still going from the fall out of the punk and post punk era and for that you have to give them real credit. High is their latest album and I can’t help feeling a little bit disappointed with them, yeah sure people mellow with age it’s only natural but this has left a fairly lethargic shell of a band in my opinion.
It doesn’t have the vitriolic feel to either the lyrics or the music which you found on Vengeance and No Rest For The Wicked, in it’s place is fairly limp wristed efforts that really don’t add much weight to what was before a pretty impressive output over the 26 years they’ve been together.
