Fortune - Highway

Highway is a single that shows some promise from Parisian four-piece Fortune, but with the competition that is building upon this side of the water already (the likes of Delphic who’ve released two corking singles so far and have an album out early next year), I get the feeling they will have to deliver a bit more than they have here to achieve any kind of success in Britain.

it’s a glossy disco meets New Order style bass track that suffers from a lack of conviction in the vocal but has enough in the music to carry it through, the mixes don’t work too badly with the James Pants Remix being the pick for me.

Ones to keep an eye on but we certainly aren’t shouting from the rooftops about them yet.
