Black Ghosts - I Want Nothing
Having recently reviewed the duo’s Mixtape compilation i’m left more than a little bit disappointed by the new single now it’s landed.
I Want Nothing doesn’t have a cutting edge sound which is surprising because everything else i’ve heard or read about The Black Ghosts has certainly been as modern sounding and forward thinking as you could hope for. Unfortunately this track sounds so dated to me it’s untrue, like someone can’t let 1989 go.
Pretty sure we’ve got better round the corner from them again, that said I had hoped the remix package might salvage things for them, but again even thats disappointing with only an efficient sounding remix from Marcus Lange hitting the spot.
