Battlefield Band - In Concert At The Brunton Theatre Musselburgh
This DVD isn’t the easiest music DVD i’ve ever had to review for a number of reasons. The first is that I don’t think a lot of music DVDs are that well done so unless you are a fan of the artist you are watching it can be a bit dull and the second reason, is that i’m just not into celtic music at all.
The Battlefield Band have been around for 30 years now and watching this DVD I can see why, yeah it might not be my sort of thing, but gifted, tight musicians they certainly are as they impressively knock out a set of traditional Scottish folk songs.
For fans of the band or the genre you won’t be disappointed at all, for anyone else I can’t see it being your thing but it does deserve respect.
