Hard-Fi - In Operation
What do you do if you have sold 750,000 copies of your debut album, milked it for singles and toured the UK in ever increasing sized venues…but want to keep the momentum going?
Well the quickest and easiest thing to do is to film one of your shows and knock out a live DVD. This though is a fairly obvious thing to do and the music buying public isn’t as gullible as those record company execs think. What you need is another selling point that will add weight to the release.
Hard-Fi have opted to go all in with a live show from The Astoria, the videos for the singles as well as behind the scenes ‘making of’s’ on the DVD. The big selling point though for me isn’t the DVD it’s the accompanying CD which features remixes such as Roots Manuva’s mix of Cash Machine, Gran Tourismo with mixes of Living For The Weekend and Stars Of CCTV and a version of live cover favourite Seven Nation Army.
Hard-Fi In Operation is out now.
