Aly & AJ - Insomniatic
Aly & AJ are fairly big at the moment, particularly in America where a pretty face and a cute bum can get you a long way no matter how old you are. These two weigh in at just 16 and 18 years old, so it’s clear they are aimed towards the teen market and in particular the female teen market where the younger girls would like to be these two.
Nothing too wrong with that in it’s own right, everybody needs music they can associate with no matter howe old they are, what they don’t need though are cloyingly bad sickly sweet pop tracks with studio enhanced vocals that seem to be trying to cross over the Sugababes with the teen rock of the first Avril Lavigne album.
Not one track on this album is as good as anything the above two mentioned artists have produced and I wouldn’t envisage a long and distinguished career from these two having hear Insomniatic all the way through.
