Sasha - Invol2ver

Invol2ver is one of the most highly anticipated dance releases this year, but for me is something of a disappointment from Sasha, who at the end of the day has been one of the top DJ’s across the world for a couple of decades now.

It might not be all his fault though I have to say. The CD i’ve got to review here is a promo copy and some of the faults and quibbles I have may not impact on the full release which I would be interested to hear. The problem for me is that the thirteen tracks don’t seem to have any length to them giving the track chance to build. They fade out all too quickly, don’t seem to be mixed and are punctuated with a spoken word reminder that this is a promo copy.

I would expect the tracks to be longer on the full release, to be mixed or at least seemingly getting to the end before being quickly faded out, but either way it doesn’t give you chance to get into the reworkings of some great artists here on this listen.
