Temposhark - It’s Better To Have Loved
This got a little bit lost in the pre-Christmas rush somewhat but is still worthy of a mention a few weeks on.
It’s Better To Have Loved is a four track single on a limited release, through Propaganda Records. It’s the first thing i’ve heard by Temposhark and it is pretty damn marvellous.
The title track opens proceedings in the shape of the Guy Sigworth Remix, synth balladeering has never sounded so cool as this icy electro ballad, given just the hint of warmth with strings. The second track is even better as Metronomy turns Not That Big into a duet courtesy of additional vocals from the ever brilliant Imogen Heap.
French DJ / Producer Avril gets in on the act with the third track Invisible Ink, a real dance stomper that features great advice in the lyrics “Make it better, work hard, leave your mark – don’t leave the world without making them think”.
The final track included here is the original version of the title track, it’s a simpler version than the remix included on here, either version works for me though in truth.
Certainly ones to watch out for in 2006 on this form and with the above named friends ready to lend a hand.
