Can you remember the joyous abandon that Supergrass started out life with on singles like Caught By The Fuzz and Mansize Rooster, or the sunshine guitars of The Thrills early releases, well how about the thrillingly intoxicating piano bars of Ben Fold’s Five with Underground...well combine all those three elements and you’ve got the fantastic Scouting For Girls debut EP.

The EP is named after first track It’s Not About You, probably the most upbeat break up song you’ll ever hear and as good as that song is, things actually get even better after that. Keep On Walking is the song to lift the gloom amongst the constant rain we’ve had and Mountains Of Navaho is just perfect guitar pop bliss.

Seldom do I put EP’s on constant rotation these days I just don’t get the time. This though hasn’t been off my stereo, nevermind Scouting For Girls, very very soon this band will be scouting for massive arenas and stadiums to fill. The Ep is out now through Sony/BMG.
